NETwork CONFerencing utility.
A.R. Wright. 1990
NETwork CONFerencing utility.
=============================
Introduction.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NETCONF allows up to four users connected to a Netware LAN to hold a
conference from their PC's. The Software is designed to run on either
colour or monochrome monitors with either a CGA, EGA or VGA adapter.
Installing NETCONF.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NETCONF.exe should be placed in the FileServers "\PUBLIC" sub-directory
to give all users access to the program. Users need only "Read, Open and
Search" rights to the sub-directory where NETCONF resides as it only uses
Netware function calls and does NOT write to disk.
The network supervisor should be consulted before this or any other
software is copied or used on the LAN.
Using NETCONF.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When NETCONF is invoked a window will display a list of users logged on to
the network. Using the Cursor keys you will be able to highlight the desired
user. Pressing return will select this user or pressing <F5> will select /
de-select a user and allow you to select another. Pressing <F1> will display
a help screen.
Once you have selected the user(s) you wish to conference their connection ID
and logon name will appear above the "Remote window". Messages typed in the
"Host window" are then automatically sent to the user(s) after <Return> is
pressed or the end of line is reached. Once in conference mode the selection
menu can be popped-up by pressing <ALT-U>.
Pressing the <Esc> key at any time will terminate the program.
